Job description

As a Software Architect at Netcompany, you will provide technical and architecture expertise to support designing solutions users really need and want. You'll test the art of the possible by designing proofs of concept to test solutions for future services, working with internal groups, third parties and external suppliers.

Day-To-Day

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to run discovery, clarify ambiguous requirements, and translate them into clear functional and non-functional requirements
  • Enable delivery and governance, collaborate with engineers to produce a detailed roadmap, define observability requirements (metrics, logs, traces), and participate in design reviews/architecture review boards
  • Shape and document solution architectures and produce target-state and integration designs that are aligned to industry best practice

Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge of GDS Service Standards
  • Experience as a technical architect or technical lead
  • Experience designing or implementing distributed system architectures
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience working within an agile methodology

Preferable

  • Architecture-related qualifications, such as TOGAF
  • Experience and knowledge of software engineering technologies, such as Java/Scala/C#
  • Experience with multiple database technologies, including relational databases and document databases
  • Cloud architecture experience/qualifications
