Requirements
Do you have experience in HTML?, You will need to be passionate about building PHP based web applications. You must also be able to write HTML, CSS and JavaScript at a basic level. You will also need to be able to adapt quickly and be open to learning new languages.
We're a small, bootstrapped team, you'll be the type of person that likes to get their hands dirty and doesn't have "that is not in my job description" in your vocabulary.
The following are beneficial, but in no way essential:
- Exposure to languages other than PHP, such as Python or NodeJS.
- Experience with CakePHP (or another MVC based framework).
- Experience with RESTful & SOAP APIs.
- An understanding of e-commerce or experience working within e-commerce or shipping.
- Linux or AWS exposure.

As a developer at Shiptheory, you will touch all areas of our technology stack, including our core PHP/Linux/Apache-based application, our mission-critical Python messaging application and various development tools. Our database engine of choice is MySQL. You'll be exposed to traditional system Linux and modern cloud infrastructure practises.
