Job description

They're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to take a lead role in the design, development, and delivery of their web and mobile applications. You'll work across the full development lifecycle - from shaping technical requirements and implementing new features, to optimising performance and supporting product scalability as the platform continues to evolve.

This is a hands-on role in a cross-functional team where you'll work closely with developers, testers, and product owners. You'll be expected to lead by example in writing clean, maintainable code, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to architectural and design discussions.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel frameworks
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and database design principles
  • Competent in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (experience with modern frameworks beneficial)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating backend services
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud infrastructure advantageous
  • Understanding of software design patterns, scalability, and performance optimisation
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the stack
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

As a senior engineer, you'll also play a key part in driving engineering best practices, improving code quality, and ensuring maintainability and security standards are met across the platform.

Benefits & conditions

  • Salary: £60,000-£70,000
  • Flexible hybrid working - remote-friendly with optional access to Belfast HQ
  • Refurbished office space (2023) with modern facilities
  • Ongoing training and development - strong focus on upskilling and career progression
  • Supportive, family-run culture with a collaborative, low-ego team ethos
  • Occasional travel for strategy sessions and social events
