Software Engineer

• Collaborate closely with a small, ambitious team in an agile environment
• Take ownership of architecture, mentor junior developers, and help define best practices
• Hybrid working - 3 days per week in South London, with flexibility on other days

Tech Stack

• Backend: Python, Django, REST APIs
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Cloud: Heroku, AWS
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTMX
• Tooling: GitHub Actions, Notion, Slack, Jira (as the team scales)

• 3-5+ years' experience developing and maintaining web applications
• Strong Python/Django backend skills
• Solid experience with database schema design, optimisation, and performance (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Confident working with RESTful APIs and cloud deployment (Heroku/AWS)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within fast-paced, agile teams
• Interest in mentoring junior developers and helping shape an early-stage engineering culture
• Based in London, UK, eligible to work without visa sponsorship

Nice to Have:

• Frontend experience (React, HTMX, Tailwind, or similar)
• Experience integrating analytics or event-tracking tools
• Background in consumer-facing or mobile web products
