Job description
As part of a multi-disciplinary digital team, you will be responsible for defining and executing tests on one of DWP's largest benefit applications-Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
Your key responsibilities will include assessing the testability of requirements, setting up test environments and data, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring a risk-based approach to testing.
As our QA Tester you will review specifications, raise questions to clarify requirements, and ensure solutions meet user needs. You'll produce manual test scripts, analyse faults, and contribute to our digital workshops.

Requirements
- Experience in manual and automated testing across complex digital applications.
- Strong understanding of functional and non-functional requirements and risk-based testing approaches.
- Ability to define test specifications, scripts, and conditions with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Skilled in fault analysis and communication with development teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Confident in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to workshops and stakeholder discussions.
Benefits & conditions
Pay: We offer competitive pay for this role of up to £38,772.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth £11,232 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 23 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
