Job description

This JAVA Engineer role is the requirement for our client in the financial industry, where you'll have access to cutting edge technologies like Vert.x, Java, Microservices and Kafka etc., as applicable to high performing applications within the Payment Domain., * Design, build, and maintain: Create, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including hardware and software.

  • System administration: Perform maintenance and administration of servers, networks, and other systems to ensure reliability and security.
  • Performance monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
  • Support and troubleshooting: Provide third-line technical support, resolve complex problems, and help with project delivery.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, operations, and project handovers.
  • Security and compliance: Implement and maintain security standards, perform backups, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Project work: Represent the infrastructure team on projects, provide technical advice, and help manage project plans.
  • Automation and cloud: Support DevOps teams through automation, manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, and assist with the transition to cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of operating systems, networks, and storage systems.
  • Proficiency with relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or CISSP).
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to keep up with emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is often beneficial.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: (As applicable)

  • Have good debugging skills
  • Proficient with Git commands.
