You'll work closely with customer architects to define functional and non-functional designs, guide technical decisions, and ensure solutions meet both business and user needs. This role also involves managing, coaching, and developing a small team, sharing your expertise, and driving technical standards across the business.

What you'll do:

  • Lead agile teams to design and deliver complex software solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer architects to define and agree solution designs.
  • Advise on effort, technical implications, and complexity of designs.
  • Manage and develop team members, focusing on performance and career growth.
  • Act as a technical leader, mentoring colleagues and contributing to organisational standards.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and approaches, advising teams and customers.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of whole solution architecture and ability to communicate designs effectively.
  • Experience balancing non-functional requirements within solution designs.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure (SaaS and PaaS).
  • Proven experience in the public sector and consulting, delivering solutions for government or enterprise clients.
  • Clear communication skills across documentation, presentations, and discussions.
  • Able to make informed technical decisions in fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing junior team members.

Desirable experience:

  • Accountability for delivery across projects or multi-team programmes.
  • Experience contributing to business development within accounts.
  • Line management experience, including setting objectives and giving feedback.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple major projects.
  • Active participation in technology communities and sharing thought leadership.

Benefits & conditions

  • People-first culture with a focus on learning, growth, and collaboration.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact solutions used by millions.
  • Supportive environment with mentorship and clear career development.
  • Competitive salary (£100k-£120k) and flexible work options.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a tailored recruitment process for all candidates.

Join a team where your public sector consulting experience, technical expertise, and leadership will directly shape solutions that make a difference.
