Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support our data and reporting function on a part-time contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop, maintain, and enhance data reporting solutions using SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI., * Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS.

• Write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reports and visualisations.
• Identify and implement process improvements in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests from stakeholders.

Do you have experience in T-SQL?, This role is ideal for a self-starter who can manage their workload independently and deliver high-quality insights and reports that drive informed business decisions., * Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimisation).
• Hands-on experience developing reports in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Advanced skills in Power BI - including DAX, data modelling, and report publishing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in gathering requirements and working directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational database design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience with ETL processes or tools (e.g. SSIS).
• Background in retail, operations, or financial reporting environments.
