Job description

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Products, you'll join the team responsible for shaping all customer-facing technology across Compass UK&I. You'll manage a multi-project digital portfolio, delivering projects to time, cost and quality while continually improving our project delivery approach.

As a senior member of the team, you'll be a role model for project excellence-leading meetings, facilitating workshops, maintaining governance, and guiding stakeholders through complexity. You'll bring the confidence and communication skills needed to get the best from busy SMEs and cross-functional teams, whether remote or on-site.

Although the role is based near Birmingham, we support hybrid working. Expect to spend 1-2 days per week at Parklands, Rubery for collaboration, team time-and great food and drink., * Plan, manage and deliver digital projects in line with business needs and functional specifications

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and to a high standard
  • Act as the primary contact for your project portfolio, managing plans and dependencies
  • Produce and maintain project documentation in line with PMO standards and provide regular updates to sponsors and stakeholders
  • Present clear communications at all levels and lead project review meetings
  • Work with Product Managers to raise new digital demands, build business cases, and secure project funding
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, data, QA, offshore teams and third parties to launch and scale digital products
  • Maintain a proactive RAID log and drive timely mitigations
  • Ensure quality assurance practices are followed throughout the lifecycle
  • Support continuous improvement of change management processes
  • Plan and ensure all business readiness activities are completed before go-live
  • Oversee smooth handover to support teams and business owners

Requirements

  • PRINCE2 or Agile certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and understanding product lifecycle
  • Ability to manage a multi-project portfolio
  • Proven success delivering large, complex or transformational digital projects
  • Strong facilitator with experience running engaging remote workshops
  • Experience delivering digital assets such as apps, websites, and platforms, working with development teams and third-party suppliers
  • Confident stakeholder manager across multiple teams and functions
  • Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies-Azure DevOps, Miro, Monday.com, Office 365, MS Project, Co-pilot
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple workstreams under pressure
  • High integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to change
  • Creative, continuous-improvement mindset with a focus on quality outcomes
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills
  • Analytical, methodical problem solver
  • Business analysis experience beneficial
  • Awareness of data privacy, security and compliance considerations
