Job description
You'll be joining at a pivotal time to help the Commercial and Finance teams streamline our reporting processes and modernise our use of Microsoft Power tools. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a contractor or experienced interim looking to make an immediate impact.
Scope of The Role
This interim role is focused on replacing legacy Jet reports with automated Power Suite-driven reporting across Finance and Commercial functions. You'll act as the bridge between operational teams and data sources, using Power Automate, Power Query, and elements of Power BI to create fast, accurate, and reconcilable reports.
How You'll Succeed
Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Finance teams to understand business reporting needs
Use Power Automate to connect ERP data (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) to Excel
Build and streamline complex data sets using Power Query
Support report delivery by understanding refresh cycles (daily/weekly/monthly)
Advice on transitioning from Jet reports to modern solutions
Deliver a working suite of reports with minimal supervision
Be available to work 4 days per week in the North London office to ensure collaboration and knowledge-sharing
Requirements
Do you have experience in Power BI?, Be flexible and focused, with the ability to quickly embed and deliver value
What it takes
Proven experience delivering reporting solutions using Power Automate and Power Query
Comfortable integrating data from ERP systems (preferably Dynamics Business Central)
Familiarity with Jet Reports (legacy knowledge helpful but not essential)
Strong communication and collaboration skills - especially with non-technical teams
Able to explain reporting logic and help stakeholders understand reconciliation issues
Benefits & conditions
£30,000 for 3 months (pro-rata equivalent of £80-100K salary depending on experience)
Contractor/day rate option also available: £450-£500/day (outside IR35).
No work/pay during company shutdown over Christmas (2 weeks)
