Job description

They're now scaling their cloud capability and hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to shape the Azure foundations powering advanced analytics, AI, and platform engineering. You'll work across cloud, data, and software architecture, building secure, modern infrastructure used nationwide. Reporting into a new Cloud Lead with deep AWS experience, your Azure expertise will immediately influence direction and standards.

The Role

You'll design, automate, and optimise Azure environments across multiple products and data-driven workloads. This is a high-ownership role working closely with engineering, product, and AI teams.

You will:

Design and build scalable Azure architectures across multi-disciplinary teams
Automate provisioning & deployments (Terraform/ARM/Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Deliver containerised & serverless solutions (AKS, Container Apps, Functions, Helm)
Implement secure identity, networking & infrastructure patterns (Entra ID, VNets, Firewalls, Key Vault)
Support Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/MySQL environments
Enable data & AI teams with pipelines, ML workloads & platforms like Azure Foundry/Hub/Search
Embed DevSecOps, Zero Trust & FinOps best practice
Offer technical mentorship & help shape a growing cloud function
