Job description

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Go.
  • Design and build RESTful or gRPC APIs and integrate internal/external services.
  • Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or cloud-native data stores.
  • Implement concurrency patterns, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and continuous improvements.
  • (For senior candidates) Mentor junior developers, lead design discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in gRPC?, * Strong programming fundamentals and experience with Golang (Go).

  • Hands-on understanding of backend development, APIs, and microservices.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, messaging queues, or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Performance tuning, profiling, and scaling high-traffic systems.
  • Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom (Valid Visa)

Pay: £35,000.00-£110,000.00 per year
