Web Designer

We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing engaging, user-friendly websites and digital interfaces that align with our brand identity and business objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise a broad range of design and development skills, including UX, UI, front-end development, and content management systems, to deliver high-quality digital experiences. The successful applicant will work closely with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing and highly functional websites that meet the needs of our diverse client base., * Develop innovative website layouts and visual designs using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, and After Effects.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups employing tools like Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, InVision, and Visio to facilitate user research and usability testing.
• Implement responsive web design principles using HTML, CSS (including SCSS and Less), Bootstrap, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Node.js, AJAX, and PHP to ensure seamless user experiences across devices.
• optimise websites for SEO using best practices in content structuring and metadata management.
• Manage website content through various content management systems including WordPress and Drupal while maintaining website performance via regular updates and site maintenance.
• Conduct user research to inform information architecture and usability improvements.
• Analyse website traffic data using Google Analytics and other tools to evaluate performance metrics and inform optimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate APIs and back-end services using Python, SQL (MySQL), VHDL (if applicable), or other relevant technologies.
• Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and usability best practices while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.
• Stay updated on the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the quality of digital assets produced.

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive websites and UI/UX projects.

• Proficiency in front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Less), JavaScript (React, Angular), PHP, AJAX; experience with Node.js is advantageous.
• Skilled in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; experience with Adobe XD or Figma for prototyping is essential.
• Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and Drupal; understanding of website maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics for data analysis skills related to user behaviour insights.
• Experience with wireframing tools like Balsamiq or Axure; strong understanding of information architecture principles.
• Ability to conduct user research to improve usability; understanding of accessibility standards is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
