Job description
We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing remote and on-site IT support, troubleshooting networking and system issues, and assisting with service desk cover activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT support for clients, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
Handle service desk tasks, including ticket management and incident resolution.
Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including desktops, routers, switches, AV equipment and other enterprise technology.
Perform network diagnostics and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, both face-to-face and over the phone.
Conduct routine system maintenance, updates, and security checks.
Document solutions, procedures, and technical notes for future reference.
Assist in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions and virtualization environments.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance IT operations and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in an active professional customer services IT systems and networking role
Mandatory Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
Mandatory Strong knowledge of MacOS operating systems
Proven experience with a basic understanding networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and Layer 1 & 2 networking.
Ability to diagnose and resolve PC hardware and software issues efficiently.
Previous experience working in an IT Service Desk or IT Field support roles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a professional attitude.
A valid UK driving license (desirable).
Must have experience with Microsoft Cloud Systems
