Job description
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions (Azure / AWS).
- Design and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and CI / CD pipelines using tools like Kubernetes, Airflow, and Databricks.
- Apply best practices in model tracking, versioning, monitoring, logging, and retraining workflows.
- Align technical delivery with business goals while optimising system performance and cost.
- Produce clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to a supportive, high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience in production-grade systems.
- Advanced Python skills for both backend and data applications.
- Deep knowledge of Azure, AWS, containers, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience of debugging, problem-solving, and version control (including model versioning).
- Agile / Scrum delivery experience, with a focus on iteration and collaboration.
