Job description
The Senior Product Owner plays a pivotal role in delivering high-value solutions that meet the needs of NGIS's customers and align with business strategy. This role bridges product ownership and project delivery, owning the product backlog while leading customer engagement throughout discovery, implementation, and release.
The Senior Product Owner acts as the key interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and the delivery team, ensuring priorities are clear, delivery is well-structured, and every increment adds measurable value.
The role will operate primarily within the EU, working remotely with a dedicated delivery team and coordinating closely with the Australian (WA) product and engineering teams. The Senior Product Owner plays a key role in bridging time zones and maintaining strong communication between regions to ensure seamless handover, aligned priorities, and continuous delivery.
Requirements
Tertiary education in Business, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience and results., * Minimum 5 years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Delivery Lead in an agile software environment.
- Proven success leading a cross-functional delivery team and managing complex product backlogs.
- Experience in customer-facing delivery and stakeholder engagement in enterprise or B2B contexts.
- Experience in CPG, ESG, or sustainability-related domains is highly desirable.
- Exposure to project delivery management is preferred.
- Experience working with remote or globally distributed teams and managing across time zones is desirable., * Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with backlog and delivery tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools (Figma, Miro).
- Skilled in agile delivery practices (Scrum or Kanban) and modern product management methods.
