We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Escapes Technician to join the Network Escapes team Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Wastewater Service Delivery team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Play a key role in improving wastewater performance and regulatory success. You'll lead audits, coach field teams, and ensure accurate reporting of flooding incidents and network escapes. This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise and attention to detail will help reduce failures and drive results.   • Assure accurate recording of network escapes by managing process adherence and data accuracy.
  • Support timely and accurate reporting of escapes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train, coach, and support Network Escapes Technicians and Service Delivery colleagues to improve workforce competence.
  • Identify themes from reviews to improve process adherence and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as the link between Escapes Optimisation Engineers and Network Escapes Technicians, promoting proactive ways of working.
  • Help reduce first-time and repeat failures, contributing to performance commitments.
  • Support in-year and year-end reporting of escapes, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidance.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in wastewater and sewer flooding incidents.
  • Good understanding of wastewater assets, failure modes, and solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory measures, especially around flooding and collapses.
  • Ability to interpret technical and financial information.
  • Skilled in data analysis to support performance targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Yorkshire Water systems (e.g. SAP, ICE, ICOM).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Skilled in issue resolution to protect network stability and customer service.
  • Experience working with contract partners and stakeholders.
