Job description
Join a new team delivering the Future State Architecture for payment processing. We aim to introduce a lean and reusable payment processing engine that will form the foundation of next-generation payment capabilities. This role involves leveraging existing software assets in an inner-sourcing model, focusing on reuse and enhancement to enable rapid delivery of new product features at low cost and high quality. YOUR PROFILE
- Deliver engineering expertise for next-generation payment processing architecture.
- Develop high-quality, resilient, and scalable software solutions.
- Lead by example in coding standards, testing, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new capabilities.
- Drive modernization and cloud adoption for payment systems.
- Set benchmarks for software delivery and technical excellence.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Ensure alignment with corporate technology strategy and best practices.
- Partner with DevOps for automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security compliance.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and system reviews.
- Provide architecture guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in API engineering and architecture.
- Strong expertise in API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Java; experience with Go and Rust preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh.
- Expertise in Kafka, observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus), and cloud/DevOps.
- Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, storage, and SQL; familiarity with distributed databases.
- Experience in financial services/payments domain is a plus.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
