Principal Modelling and Simulation Engineer

• The role will suit an engineer looking to diversify or develop their experience and work within a team responsible for producing models at vehicle and system level representing plant and control algorithms. The Mathworks toolset is used heavily including Simulink and associated toolboxes, and a good understanding of the use of version control software (e.g. GIT) and task management toolsets as part of collaborative working is required.
• Candidates will have the following responsibilities (depending on experience):

• Developing task definition (together with the technical lead)
• Defining model and control algorithm requirements
• Build and test of models
• Peer review of models
• Preparation and presentation of results, models etc to customers
• Formal verification procedures
• Authoring model documentation

• Candidates will be degree qualified (or equivalent), in a related discipline preferably Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics, and must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of fundamental modelling principles of systems through experience.
