Job description

  • Lead and support a team in the feature configuration of Assisted and Automated Driving Systems, specifically focusing on end-of-line manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to System & Software Architecture, applying Agile principles.
  • Perform issue triage, debugging, vehicle testing, and integration related to feature configuration and system/software issues.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques, ideally with experience in Simulink and Stateflow.
  • Author and review requirements, utilizing both modeling and structured formats like EARS (Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax).
  • Conduct vehicle-level validation and perform root cause analysis at the code level.
  • Contribute to effective change and configuration management.
  • Design and develop model-based control strategies.
  • Analyze requirements and decompose them into actionable tasks.Develop and execute validation processes and associated simulation environments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Unreal Engine?, KPIT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong AUTOSAR experience to join our team in Coventry, the UK. You will play a pivotal role in the development and integration of features for cutting-edge Assisted and Automated Driving Systems, contributing throughout the vehicle lifecycle - from manufacturing to end-of-line validation., * A formal qualification (Degree) in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in AUTOSAR, including feature configuration for Assisted and Automated Driving Systems.
  • Strong understanding of System & Software Architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (Simulink, Stateflow).
  • Proficiency in debugging and vehicle testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results.Experience working in a Systems Engineering environment and with Agile methodologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Driver Assistance Systems and related technologies (Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Sensor Fusion).
  • Knowledge of Automotive Networking Protocols (CAN, FlexRay, SOME/IP, DoIP).
  • Understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Safety of the Intended Function, and Cyber Security (ISO 21434).
  • Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (ISO 14229).
  • Knowledge of Classic & Adaptive AUTOSAR SW Architecture.
  • Experience with simulation tools (CarSim, Unreal, CarMaker, DriveSim).
  • Data Analysis skills using Python/Matlab.Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
