Job description
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you are a champion for DevOps and SRE culture and industry best practice within Megaport. You will work alongside talented team members in multiple timezones ensuring that systems are secure, maintainable and available. External to the team you will be engaging with stakeholders in requirements analysis and demonstrations. Technically you will be very hands on. Continually evolving your skills through a mix of peer reviews and research. Ultimately your obsession is customer success and ensuring company goals are met., * Driving initiatives within the Platform Engineering sphere.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 3+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and Infrastructure.
- Ability to design robust solutions to technical challenges.
- A focus on automation and "infrastructure as code", including automated testing of infrastructure code.
- An agile mindset with the ability to work in a collaborative manner
- Strong skills with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Helm and ArgoCD is highly desirable.
- Software development - Bash, plus either Python or Go preferred, or similar.
- Infrastructure-as-code tooling experience - Terraform preferred.
- CI platforms & Revision control systems, Github or Gitlab preferred
- Database experience - one of Postgres, Cassandra, OpenSearch preferred.
- A solid understanding of observability (MELT) tools in our industry.
- Comfortable working with live production infrastructure.
- A history of continual professional development.
- Prior experience working in a remote + async team is beneficial.
