Principal Security Architecture Specialist

The Oracle Platform Security team is searching for a Data Architect with real-world experience with to assist with designing and supporting a number of SaaS systems based on Oracle APEX. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

This work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical and business skills in multiple specializations. As a leading individual contributor and team member, you will be providing direction and mentoring to others. A BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area is expected. 7 years of software engineering or related experience is required., * Minimum of 7 or more years of real-world experience in software engineering or data warehousing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate with individuals across a very large organization.

• A systems thinker, able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and detail-oriented implementation; open minded to new ideas, approaches, and possesses the technical ability to implement ideas.

• Experience working with Agile development frameworks.

• A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive, requiring only small pieces to the puzzle, across many technologies - new and legacy. Must Haves

• Familiarity with RDBMSs

• Experience consuming and developing with cloud services.

• Experience in transforming a traditional relations schema into a data warehouse schema

• Significant experience developing and maintaining a data warehouse.

• Experience with RESTful services and other integration technologies

• Experience using Python to integrate with data sources

• Experience with common data formats, such as JSON, XML, and CSV

• Nice to Haves

• Familiar with DevOps pipelines a plus

• Experience with Oracle Exadata

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

• Experience with Oracle Golden Gate
