Job description

As a Solution Architect SAP FI/CO, you will design and implement financial and controlling solutions in SAP, ensuring compliance with US-specific standards while contributing to global solution strategies.

You will act as a trusted expert in SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling), enabling seamless financial processes, system integration, and regulatory compliance. This role combines project delivery, optimization, and advisory responsibilities, ensuring financial workflows support both operational and strategic objectives., * Define and architect SAP FI/CO solutions tailored to US business and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver SAP implementation projects.
  • Optimize financial planning, general ledger, reporting, and controlling processes.
  • Oversee integration of FI/CO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements for financial workflows.
  • Govern and guide support teams handling SAP FI/CO maintenance activities.
  • Perform system validation and IT housekeeping to safeguard data integrity.
  • Contribute as an expert to large-scale transformation programs, focusing on SAP FI/CO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or Business Informatics.
  • At least 6 years of process knowledge in financial operations, with strong expertise in US financial standards and reporting.
  • Minimum 6 years of system knowledge in SAP FI/CO configuration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
  • Experience in ERP architecture and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proven track record in cross-regional implementations and localized compliance.
  • Knowledge of controlled industries such as pharma is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, bridging finance and technology teams.
  • Political and cultural awareness, with success working in global and matrix organizations.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
