Job description
The Cybersecurity Lead Engineer is primarily responsible for the technical execution and delivery of a range of lifecycle cybersecurity solutions and services for external customers. Key responsibilities include performing site visits to maintain security solutions, evaluating existing and new technologies, providing security training, and consulting on security matters when required. The Cybersecurity Lead Engineer also represents Schneider Electric as a technical consultant with the proficiency to identify and discuss new cybersecurity opportunities with customers and Account Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field, plus one of the following certifications:
- CCNA Security
- CCSP
- CISSP
- CISM
- CISA
- CEH
- SANS-GICSP
- CHFI
- ISA99 or IC32-34 related OT certification
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in OT Industrial Control Systems (DCS, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, Data Historians such as OSI PI, EDNA, Wonderware)
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, NCSC, ISO 27001, COBIT) and ICS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, PROFINET, PROFIBUS)
- Experience with IDS/IPS installation and management
- Experience with network firewall products (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Sophos, SonicWall)
- Experience implementing and managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Windows administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, WSUS, GPOs)
- Host-based security technologies (antivirus, DLP, EDR/XDR/NDR, whitelisting)
- Backup/restore technologies (Symantec, VERITAS, Acronis, VEEAM)
- Experience developing and delivering end-user training
- Experience in developing, evaluating, implementing security policy and procedures
- Competencies:
- Excellent consultancy and communication skills to identify and negotiate customer needs and present recommendations
- Analytical skills to evaluate information from multiple sources
- Strong time management, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
- Ability to take full responsibility for executing tasks, including remote locations
- Proficient technical writing to communicate with customers, Project Managers, and cybersecurity staff
- Fluent English (additional language is an advantage)
