Job description
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Manage Azure policies, governance frameworks, and ensure compliance across the organisation.
- Optimise subscriptions, resource groups, and access controls for efficiency and security.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Monitor performance, costs, and usage patterns to drive optimisation and reduce spend.
- Collaborate with finance, security, and development teams to align cloud strategies with business goals.
Requirements
As an extremely collaborative professional, you excel at building excellent working relationships and possess a high level of political sensitivity and ethics. Your essential soft skills include effective listening, persuasion, a collaborative leadership style, flexibility, self-motivation, creativity, and insightfulness., * Strong experience with Azure Policy, RBAC, and subscription/resource management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, Azure AD/Entra ID, monitoring, security).
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Solid understanding of cost analysis, budgeting, and Azure billing tools.
- Hands-on experience with automation (Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM templates).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent.
- A good few years in a similar cloud administration or engineering role.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments and CI/CD processes.
