Infrastructure Platform Engineer

Genuit Group is an expanded collaboration of businesses which serve the construction industry by providing sustainable water, climate and ventilation management solutions.

We're looking for an Infrastructure & DR Platforms Engineer to join our IT team as the subject matter expert and technical owner for core platforms and services. In this role, you'll analyse organisational requirements, design and implement IT solutions, and ensure our systems run efficiently and securely. You'll take pride in maintaining high standards of technical stewardship, documentation, and service excellence.

What You'll Do

• Act as SME and technical owner for core platforms and services.
• Analyse existing systems and recommend improvements to optimise performance.
• Design and document technical solutions, ensuring security by design.
• Lead problem resolution and act as the final escalation point for technical issues.
• Maintain and update core systems, applications, hardware, and platforms.
• Drive continual service improvement and champion change management.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to colleagues, sharing technical expertise.
• Create reports and audits to demonstrate effective system management.

• Strong experience in platform engineering and infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex systems.
• VMware Certified Professional or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Windows Server (2012-2025), Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage, and backup/DR solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Zerto).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Cisco, Meraki), Azure services, and monitoring tools (PRTG, Lansweeper).
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Active Directory management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under broad direction.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
