Tasks

• Design modern workplace solution architectures with governance criteria.
• Analyze customer needs and create decision-making proposals.
• Lead engineering activities and support interdisciplinary teams., It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton into the digital world. To strengthen our Workplace Engineering team, we are looking for you as a Solution Architect Workplace.

In the Workplace Engineering team, you actively shape the digital future of the Canton of Zurich. You develop modern workplace architectures, accompany demanding customer requirements, and ensure that our solutions meet the highest technical and organizational standards. In collaboration with engineering, operations, and architecture teams, you significantly advance the canton's digital workplace.

Your tasks

• Planning and designing modern workplace solution architectures considering architecture, security, and governance requirements
• Analyzing customer needs, developing solution proposals, and creating decision-making bases
• Maintaining and further developing the workplace roadmap
• Planning and implementing proof of concepts (POC)
• Supporting the technical implementation and advising system engineers
• Coordinating and managing engineering activities as lead engineer
• Participating in projects related to workplace, cloud, and Microsoft technologies
• Executing smaller projects and supporting interdisciplinary teams

• Completed IT education with at least 8 years of experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and IT solutions.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential., Completed IT education (HF, Bachelor, or Master)

• At least 8 years of professional experience, including 4 in the workplace/Microsoft environment
• Solid know-how in Microsoft technologies
• Experience in designing and implementing complex IT workplace solutions
• Very good German and good English skills
• Analytical and conceptual thinking as well as structured working methods
• Strong communication skills, initiative, and enjoyment of teamwork
