Job description
Our Airbus Helicopters' Software métier department in Donauwörth is responsible for the development and integration of embedded software, implementing various critical functionalities, mainly for military Helicopter products., * Delivery of products integrated on H/W and on simulation, consistent with its interface definition
- Ensure that elements not matching the right level of quality are not integrated (e.g: code not conform to standards, all artifacts not in line with agreed def of done)
- Implement optimization for the build/verification process, liaising with tool environment to ensure synergies with other projects, and guaranteeing the qualification of tools
- Ensure development of prototype/verification means (e.g. simulation models) are performed and delivered in time to support functional developments
- Ensure visibility & Supports prioritization of (process and/or tools related) improvements
- Ensure deliveries of the improvements planned during planning exercise
- Be responsible of SW platform integration taking part of the discussion with Equipment suppliers on SW topics: BSP/OS, low level layers, integration. First level of investigation on integration issues
- Accountable for compliance of changes with architecture standard
- Set-up platform resource usage: Memory allocation, scheduling, interface alignment
Requirements
- Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in computer science, electronics or a related discipline
- Experience in the development of Real Time Embedded Software/Systems
- Experience in C, Python development
- Experience in configuration management (Git), Continuous Integration (Jenkins)
- Knowledge of Avionic Systems, including bus systems (e.g. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429)
- Knowledge of Software Qualification/Certification Standards (e.g. DOD-STD-2167A, MIL-STD-498, IEEE 12207, DO178B/C)
- Knowledge in Real Time Operating System (VxWorks, PikeOS, ....)
- Familiarity with agile frameworks (e.g. scrum, SAFE)
- Open-minded team player and very good communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Knowledge of German is beneficial
