At Flexidao, we are building the data infrastructure to power the future of the energy sector. Our platform's ability to ingest, process, and analyze vast amounts of Meter and Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) data is core to our mission. We are looking for a passionate Senior Engineer to own and scale the data backbone of our platform, ensuring a reliable and timely flow of data that powers our products and insights.

Your Challenge

• Own the End-to-End ETL Lifecycle: You will design, build, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process data from diverse sources, including third-party APIs, databases, message queues, and flat files.

• Build for Scale and Reliability: Ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and performance. You will be responsible for the monitoring, security, and operational excellence of our data integration systems.

• Solve Complex Data Challenges: Implement sophisticated data transformations and business logic to turn raw data into actionable information that drives product features and critical business decisions.

• Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with product managers and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-impact data solutions.

• Drive Technical Excellence: Contribute to a high-quality codebase through thoughtful code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will keep abreast of new technologies and trends to evolve our data stack.

Must-haves

5+ years in software engineering, with a demonstrated focus on data integration, ETL development, or backend systems.

• Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in a modern language. Proficiency in TypeScript is required for this role.

• Database Mastery: Strong command of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL , MySQL), including data modeling and query optimization.

• Problem Solving: A pragmatic and tenacious approach to solving complex technical problems, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider ( GCP preferred) and container orchestration using Kubernetes .

Nice-to-have

o Architectural Vision: Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. o Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the Energy, FinTech, or another data-intensive industry. o Modern DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks. o Observability: Familiarity with modern monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). o Data Orchestration: Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect. o API Fluency: Deep understanding of RESTful API design and security standards (OAuth, JWT).
