Software Development Engineer II

This position resides in the Europe Solutions Development Team, responsible for complementing Travelport Product Portfolio by regional configurable solutions. We are now looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and help in maintaining, enhancing current Europe Solution Portfolio consist of 60 solutions along with developing new innovative, cloud based scalable solutions. This individual will join a dynamic group who is looking for someone who loves to code, will bring new ideas and help drive us in our migration to the cloud., * Collaborate with stakeholders to identify end-user requirements and specifications.

• Collaborate with Scrum Team during sprint and Regional Solution Team toward fast delivery of stable and efficient solutions
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
• Conduct code reviews for accuracy and functionality.
• Test, profile and deploy programs and applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software.
• Identify ways to improve quality, velocity, processes, and teamwork.
• Contribute to all aspects of technical systems design, performance, deployment, systems management and systems maintenance
• Adherence and compliance to internal Travelport processes and practices

• Software development experience with a successful record of developing and deploying quality software products.
• Proven .NET, , WPF, JavaScript, rest web API and web services development experience.
• Knowledge of modern JS framework (preferably React JS)
• Very well understanding of database structures, SQL Server
• Experience with Relational (MySQL, MsSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmo DB, Azure Table Storage).
• Understanding of general application architecture constructs like high-availability, scalability, security, and low-latency.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Web Services Development (Microservices, RESTful web services, XML JSON).
