Software Development Engineer, Device OS

The Engineer in this job is expected to make the design (High level and Low level) decisions, own end to end (depth) for specific set of features while having breadth on rest of the features and provide technical guidance for the Junior members in the team. A day in the life

The following are the day to day activities:

• Feature development
• Peer Code and design review
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders (Dev and QA) on clarifying the requirements, resolving the dependencies etc.
• Oncall rotation

About the team

Team is working on a most business critical, high visibility, large scale & high device volume project involving embedded development (Device side), Cloud development (AWS services, API, CDK, Pipelines, Container management) etc.

• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• In depth knowledge and working experience AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, EBS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, VPC, AutoScaling, Global Accelerator etc.) is mandatory
• 5+ Years of working experience in Cloud development, handling large scale deployment, * 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud application development, API development, Cloud deployment, handling various AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, EBS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, VPC, AutoScaling, Global Accelerator etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in C/C++ development (MUST)
