Job description
This role focuses on building accessible, performant and visually consistent user interfaces across a range of digital projects. You'll translate design concepts into reliable front-end code, support smooth project delivery and help maintain strong technical standards across the team. Collaborating with designers, developers and stakeholders, strong communication and decision making skills are a must.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work on a variety of websites and applications, ensuring they function well, load quickly and meet accessibility standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building responsive, pixel-perfect layouts using semantic HTML, SCSS and JavaScript.
- Developing components and interfaces using React.
- Creating and maintaining custom WordPress themes.
- Implementing Bootstrap, Tailwind or custom frameworks when appropriate.
- Setting up, managing and troubleshooting Google Tag Manager and tracking.
- Ensuring front-end output meets accessibility and coding standards.
- Supporting site performance, stability and general best practice.
- Keeping project leads updated on progress.
Working With Others
The role involves regular collaboration with internal teams. You'll contribute technical insight, help refine requirements and support a consistent approach to development across projects.
- Offer clear input during planning and review discussions.
- Support documentation to help streamline workflows.
- Share knowledge and help maintain unified coding standards.

Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Minimum 8 years' commercial front end development experience.
- Strong command of semantic HTML and accessibility standards.
- Advanced SCSS and JavaScript skills.
- Experience with React and/or Vue.
- Confident WordPress theme development.
- Familiarity with Bootstrap, Tailwind and custom frameworks.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and analytics tracking setup.
- A reliable understanding of responsive design and cross-browser behaviour.
- The ability to deliver clean, considerate code and manage deadlines.
