Job description
As an IT Change and Release Manager you are responsible for managing the implementation and deployment of IT changes within an organization, ensuring changes and releases are implemented safely, with minimal risk and disruption to business operations.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Central Point of Contact for Change-Release Management Processes: As the main coordinator for all Change-Release Management initiatives, ensures smooth communication between all stakeholders making sure every change is traceable and transparent.
- Authorizes and documents all changes and releases to the IT environment to keep disruptive effects on ongoing operations to a minimum.
- Monitoring of Change Initiatives: Regular review and evaluation of implemented changes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identification of risks associated with changes.
- Documentation: Ensuring comprehensive documentation of all change management activities, decisions, and outcomes to maintain compliance and serve as a reference for future changes.
- Coordinate the release process, obtaining necessary approvals, and overseeing the delivery of releases to production environments.
Requirements
- A completed degree in information technology, computer science or a related field is desirable.
- Proven professional experience in IT service management regarding change and release management, ideally in a global environment.
- Sound knowledge of ITSM processes according to ITIL - ITIL certification (v3 or 4) is required specially regarding change and release management process.
- Solid knowledge in Change-Release Management methodologies, models and tools.
- Experience in managing internal and external service providers and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Understanding of service-related automation concepts and willingness to actively promote them.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking combined with a high level of customer focus.
- Independent, structured working style and clear communication skills.
- Active participation in the development of a standardized and future-proof IT service management system within the Lapp Group.
- Very good written and oral skills in English.
