Senior Linux Engineer

At Capgemini, we are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6, 7, and 8) to join our infrastructure team. If you have strong experience in Linux system administration, virtualization, and performance optimization, this is your opportunity to be part of an innovative technology environment. Responsibilities: * Validate compatibility with hypervisors and snapshots for secure rollback. * Coordinate backups and failure recovery processes. * Validate compatibility of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc. databases with RHEL 8. * Audit and optimize SELinux policies, firewall rules, and permissions. * Review compatibility with security and compliance tools. * Evaluate dependencies and perform upgrades using leapp, redhat-upgrade-tool, or manual processes. * Take snapshots and backups before critical upgrades. * Deploy mass updates using Ansible playbooks. * Analyze logs and monitoring with journald, auditd, and monitoring tools. * Optimize

critical services and apply security patches. Qualifications: * 7+ years of experience in similar roles. * Strong expertise in RHEL 6, 7, and 8. * Experience with YUM/DNF, RPM, systemd, SELinux, firewalld, etc. * Experience in kernel and software package upgrades. * Administration of critical services: SSH, NFS, Samba, LDAP, etc. * Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting tools (journald, dmesg, sar, top, etc.). * Skills in performance tuning and system optimization. * Specialist in VMware and KVM virtualization. * B2+ English level for technical communication. * Experience in automation with Ansible. * Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD. * Familiarity with security and compliance tools.
