Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in VPN?, We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Operational Technology (OT) Core Systems Team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on technical role in a team responsible for the systems that underpin our 24/7 operational technology estate for data gathering and remote asset control. You'll support and maintain one of the largest and most complex OT systems in the UK water industry, operating in a safety-critical, highly regulated environment. This role includes both enhancement and improvement activities, along with day to day running and maintenance of the application. • SQL - maintaining telemetry databases, supporting data queries and extract processes
  • Python - developing internal tooling, automation, and system support scripts
  • Cloud platform management (preferably Azure) - especially for telemetry workloads or supporting infrastructure
  • Enterprise networking - understanding secure IP communications, VPNs, firewalls, and network diagnostics
  • PowerShell scripting - automating routine tasks and managing system processes efficiently

Experience with GeoSCADA or other enterprise SCADA systems is highly desirable but not essential. We also welcome applicants from software development, SQL database administration, or infrastructure engineering backgrounds who are looking to apply their skills in a technically challenging, safety-critical and regulated environment. You'll thrive in this role if you are forward-thinking, analytical and collaborative, with strong communication skills and a desire to make a real impact in a mission-critical area of the business.
