Job description

Regional Data Head to lead our data agenda across KFC UK, Ireland and Europe. This leader will drive the strategic integration and operationalization of Yum's Global Data Hub, enhance store and franchisee data quality, accelerate adoption of centralized BI and analytics products, and partner with key stakeholders to enable scalable, insight-led decision making across markets in the region.

Regional Data Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and own the regional data strategy aligned to Yum's global standards, with flexibility for market-specific needs.
  • Champion the use of centralized data assets, including data platform, BI and AI, across franchise and equity markets.
  • Build and maintain a clear data roadmap for UKI & Europe, including prioritization of high-impact data products and capabilities.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Lead efforts to improve store, franchisee, and transaction data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with Technology, Ops, and Legal to implement standards for vendor compliance (e.g., POS Vendor Standards).
  • Drive adherence to data governance frameworks, including metadata management, lineage, and SLA expectations.

Business Partnership & Enablement

  • Act as the primary data partner to regional CFOs, CMOs, COOs, and Digital Officers.
  • Support commercial, marketing, and operations teams with timely, actionable insights and trusted reporting.
  • Translate global data platform strategy into business-relevant outcomes at the regional level.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Liaise with central AIDA product, engineering, and analytics teams to coordinate roadmap delivery and manage market needs.
  • Drive operational alignment across BI tools, data infrastructure, reporting standards, and analytics self-serve models.
  • Foster a strong feedback loop with central teams to iterate and evolve data products and platform capabilities.

Team Leadership & Market Uplift

  • Build and lead a regional data team, with direct and dotted-line reports. Set clear ways of working to ensure accountability and alignment with global data priorities.
  • Champion a strong data culture, including upskilling, data literacy, and stakeholder training.
  • Support franchisee engagement and data maturity efforts in partnership with GMs and Ops Excellence leads.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Metadata?, * Demonstrable experience in data leadership roles, ideally in QSR, retail, CPG, or platform businesses.

  • Proven track record of delivering business impact through data strategy, analytics platforms, and governance initiatives.
  • Experience working across matrixed global organizations and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and product acumen.
  • Deep understanding of data engineering, BI, and analytics delivery models.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management, influence without authority, and change leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of franchise business models and market dynamics across Europe.

Skills

  • Operates with a one-team mentality-balancing global standards with local enablement.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at navigating evolving organizational structures.
  • Passionate about scalable data foundations, continuous improvement, and impact delivery.
