Job description
Within this challenging role, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment for our colleagues across the business.
Your role
- Deploy and configure new laptops for incoming and existing staff.
- Guide new employees through their IT onboarding (3-hour session).
- Handle hardware ordering, inventory control and asset documentation.
- Maintain firmware and drivers across devices.
- Install, maintain and decommission servers, printers, network equipment, access points and related hardware.
- Perform preventive maintenance in WAP, including troubleshooting through database queries.
- Advise and support IT Infrastructure and Vessel IT Support teams.
- Document procedures, work instructions and operational tasks thoroughly.
- Support the team with hands-on involvement and contribute to training and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- You are fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- You work confidently with the MS 365 suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint).
- You have a strong technical affinity and can quickly learn complex topics.
- You possess excellent hardware and software support knowledge.
- You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are organised, accurate and comfortable with multitasking.
- You show initiative, think in solutions and stay calm under pressure.
- You have leadership qualities and the ability to coach others.
- You respect and support the personal development of team members.
- You are digitally minded, proactive, driven, persistent and hands-on.
- You have 3+ years of experience in departmental hardware/software support and maintenance.
