Job description

We're a small, mission-led team working closely with schools, local authorities, and safeguarding leaders. This is meaningful work with direct real-world impact., * Build and maintain backend services in ASP.NET Core and Python

  • Define and manage infrastructure via Terraform on AWS
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Troubleshoot issues across services, environments, and build/deployment pipelines
  • Write clear documentation for systems, deployments, and workflows

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, We're looking for a capable and curious developer to help us build and maintain secure, scalable systems. You'll work primarily with:

  • ASP.NET Core
  • Python
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions

You'll have autonomy and responsibility - ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new tools, and contributing to something that protects real people., We welcome applications from:

  • Junior developers with strong fundamentals, or
  • Experienced engineers seeking more ownership and mission impact.

Helpful skills include:

  • ASP.NET Core and Python development
  • Familiarity with AWS services
  • Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
  • CI/CD workflows, ideally GitHub Actions
  • Docker basics and container workflows
  • Git-based development and code review practices
  • Awareness of API security and data protection principles

Bonus points for:

  • SQL schema or stored procedure experience
  • Interest in ethical AI or digital safeguarding
  • Comfortable working independently or in a small team
  • Experience with image processing or accessibility-oriented development
