Job description
As a leading player in the insurance market, this organization is accelerating its digital transformation toward a fully data-driven approach. Data lies at the heart of the strategy: improving services, optimizing risk management, and enabling a more personalized and efficient customer experience. To support this mission, we're looking for a Data Steward for the Employee Benefits & Health Care domains, within the Data Solutions & Intelligence / Data Management teams. You will drive data governance and ensure data quality in close collaboration with Data, Methodology, IT, and Business teams. What you will doLead and safeguard data quality
- Define and monitor data quality KPIs (completeness, consistency, accuracy, uniqueness).
- Implement control processes and workflows to detect and correct anomalies.
- Automate validation rules, alerts, and exception handling.
Strengthen data governance
- Develop and maintain data reference systems and their documentation.
- Ensure alignment with internal policies (Data Management, Security/GDPR) and industry standards (Solvency II, IFRS).
- Contribute to building a shared data catalog including a data dictionary, business glossary, and quality procedures.
Optimize and industrialize data flows
- Support data modeling and the integration of internal and external data sources.
- Improve and standardize functional and development data pipelines with a focus on quality and robustness.
- Work with tools such as Informatica, Python, SQL, Spark, and more.
Collaborate across teams
- Promote data governance best practices and raise awareness within Methodology and Business teams.
- Act as a bridge between Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Methodology, and Business stakeholders.
- Help build a shared data language and data-driven culture.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, …).
- Experience in data management, data quality, or data governance, preferably in a financial or insurance context.
Technical skills
- Governance & quality tools: Informatica, Talend Data Stewardship, Alation, Collibra
- Analytics & visualization: Power BI, Tableau
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB)
- ETL & processing: Azure Data Factory, DBT, Databricks, SAS
- Languages: SQL, Python, PySpark
Soft skills
- Strong analytical mindset, accuracy, and critical thinking.
- Autonomous, creative, and solution-oriented in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional proficiency in French and/or Dutch, and English.
- Experience managing data quality or data robustness projects is a strong asset.
