- Architect and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for data workloads using templates, GitLab CI, ensuring automation and compliance with DevOps standards.
- Develop and manage containerized applications for scalable and resilient data services.
- Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability frameworks across pipelines.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and governance.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, story refinement, estimation, and sprint planning as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices in all GCP solutions.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, An experienced and versatile Senior GCP Data Engineer with deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, Containerization, and advanced data engineering on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with business engagement skills - capable of translating business requirements into scalable, production-grade technical solutions. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across cloud data engineering initiatives.
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using GCP services such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and No-SQL., * GCP - strong hands-on experience with core services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud Functions, GCS).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java (nice to have).
- Experience in GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager), and automated testing in data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice orchestration.
- BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and NoSQL design patterns.
- Experienced in Scrum; familiar with story writing, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
Experience:
- Experience: 7+ years in data engineering (3+ on GCP); GCP certification preferred.
- Proven experience in data pipeline design and API development.
- Working experience in Terraform (IAC).
Soft Skills:
- Fluency in English, good to know French.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to translate business requirements into technical design.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and guide best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration within Agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer or Associate Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD automation.
- Experience with enterprise data strategy, governance, and cost optimization.
