Linux System Engineer

To support our growing data-driven initiatives, we are seeking a Linux System Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team. You will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and maintaining state-of-the-art IT infrastructure tailored to the needs of life sciences research., * Install, maintain, upgrade and optimise the infrastructure that supports data-intensive research activities.

• Maintain and support our High Performance Compute infrastructure.
• Extend our hybrid cloud storage offerings and data delivery.
• Ensure the security, compliance, and scalability of the IT infrastructure.
• Design custom infrastructure solutions for our scientists.
• Automate common tasks with Ansible and Bash, Python, Powershell scripting.
• Identify trends and problems and plan changes to improve stability and optimize performance.Create and maintain documentation, knowledge articles and processes.

Your Profile

Do you have experience in Shell Scripting?, * A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with Linux-based server or storage platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• A critical analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude.A proactive and collaborative way of working, with excellent communication skills.
