Job description
As part of the Global Drug Substance Development department, you will join a team of motivated scientists dedicated to develop and optimize process for production of new biological therapeutics. You will work in the Biotech Development Center BDC, center of excellence in Biologics development with cutting edge technologies and an international environment.
You are a Data Scientist with a deep passion for statistical and mechanistic modeling, scalable AI and machine learning. Specialized in process modelling and large language models (LLMs), you will leverage advanced modelling techniques and state-of-the-art generative AI to modernize development workflows, enable predictive analytics, and drive intelligent automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable LLM solutions that integrate seamlessly our Upstream and Downstream processing development workflows, preparing the organization for Industry 4.0. You are a curious mind : you enjoy going in the development and you would like to perform calibration experiments for your models., * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for bioprocessing workpackages.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of AI pipelines, including data ingestion, model selection, and validation. Contribute to building the dashboards needed for automatic reports.
- Develop and apply mathematical or statistical theories and techniques to analyze and interpret data, build models and make predictions applied to our bioprocessing workpackages.
- Perform independent analysis on large, complex datasets, ensuring statistical validity and reliability.
- Perform necessary calibration experiments in laboratory for building mechanistic models.
- Demonstrate value of innovative AI techniques in the context of process development.
- Contribute to scientific publications and present results at internal and external scientific conferences.
- Elaborate dashboards and promote Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and automation uses as required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with mechanistic modelling (eg. GPROMS, Dynochem), statistical modelling (e.g Python, JMP), hybrid modelling (Datahow, Python)
- Proven track record in building, training, and optimizing large language models (LLMs) and other natural language processing algorithms.
- Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a passion for uncovering insights from complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams in a proactive manner.
