Job description
As the Workplace IT Operations Lead, you will own the integrity, reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of LiveEO's internal IT environment. The Workplace IT team is the primary point of contact for more than 160 employees worldwide for all workplace technology, including hardware (with a focus on provisioning and de-provisioning laptops and peripherals) and company-wide software. You will lead, coach, and develop the team, set priorities, and drive both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. You will also be responsible for vendor management and key aspects of compliance with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 frameworks. This is a "player-coach" role that combines management responsibilities with hands-on operational work.
Your challenge
- Lead and support the Workplace IT team to achieve shared goals and effectively prioritize work
- Prioritize and plan both day to day operational tasks and longer term infrastructure initiatives
- Manage a diverse set of vendors across technical, administrative, and commercial dimensions
- Own budgeting and cost control for hardware and software purchases
- Lead the company wide transition to a modern MDM and IdP solution
- Design and operate an IT helpdesk model that supports a globally distributed workforce
- Align and harmonize tooling choices across teams, balancing local needs with company wide standards
- Balance innovation and experimentation with secure, controlled endpoint management
- Shape, document, and continuously improve internal IT processes and policies
- Manage software license needs and utilization while staying within budget
- Ensure office IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and fully operational
- Own selected SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 controls related to Workplace IT

Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Deep understanding of endpoint management (especially mobile) and identity provider (IdP) systems
- Proven experience leading large scale organizational technology transitions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, plus good working proficiency in German
- Experience working in a highly diverse, multicultural environment
- Strong understanding of information security principles
- Experience with budget management and hardware and software inventory management
- Experience working with SOC 2 Type II and or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
- Experience leading IT teams in an environment that combines strong governance with innovation
- Solid operational knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu LTS), macOS, and Windows
- Experience administering Entra ID and Intune
- Experience administering the Atlassian stack, especially Jira and Confluence
- Good understanding of email administration and best practices
- Good understanding of DNS fundamentals
- Experience designing and implementing internal organizational IT processes and policies
Nice to have:
- Previous experience administering Windows systems and Active Directory
- Experience administering Google Workspace
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Basic experience with infrastructure as code (for example Terraform)
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts
