Job description

Role: Systems Engineer Location: Corsham 3 Days per week Clearance: SC Clearance (bare minimum) Contract: 3 Months Rate: £500 to £600 Outside IR35 or £80,000 per annum (if wanting to be full-time) Start Date: ASAP

iO Associates are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Systems Engineer to support secure IT programmes of national importance. This role covers the full lifecycle - from requirements analysis through to design, testing, and validation - in a dynamic, client-facing consultancy environment.

What you'll do

  • Work with stakeholders to define and manage clear, testable requirements.
  • Shape delivery strategies, produce architecture models, and technical designs.
  • Develop and execute test and integration plans.
  • Support delivery across multiple project stages.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to practice development.

What you'll bring

  • Strong background in requirements management and verification/validation.
  • Knowledge of MBSE (ArchiMate, UML, SysML) and requirements tools (eg DOORS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable: Cyber, secure system design, MOD frameworks, Agile experience, consultancy background.
