Job description

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications across the full stack.
  • Build scalable, secure back-end systems with Java and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Create clean, user-friendly front-end interfaces with React, Angular, or Vue, alongside HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, and DevOps to deliver seamless digital experiences.
  • Work in an agile environment, contribute ideas, and help shape the technical direction of projects.

Requirements

  • Solid foundation in full-stack development with commercial experience.
  • Confident in HTML, CSS, and Java.
  • Strong experience with at least one of React, Angular, or Vue these are central to the tech stack.
  • Comfortable with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with deployment pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Cloudflare).
  • Proactive, curious, and collaborative, ready to take initiative and grow your expertise.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with microservices or no/low-code tools like Bubble or Webflow.
  • Interest in AI integrations or native app development.

Benefits & conditions

Practical Info:

  • Hybrid role based in Loughborough (2-3 days in office per week).
  • Salary: £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
