Job description
We have an opportunity for an M365 Services Engineer to join our Technology department based at our head office in Worcester. The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise to support the operational delivery, design, development and continuous improvement of Technology M365 cloud-powered productivity platform services in line with the Group's immediate and long term values and objectives. You will be managing and delivering the continuous improvement of Sanctuary's SharePoint Online, Teams & Exchange Online capabilities and work closely with other Technology teams to ensure best practice configurations are applied in security and service resilience and ensuring seamless integration with other Technology services (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Gimmal Link). This is a varied role where you will be managing permissions, access controls, and site collections along with providing training and guidance to users on SharePoint Online and Teams.
The Role of the M365 Services Engineer will include:
- Design, deploy, and manage SharePoint sites and libraries
- Support migration from legacy systems to SharePoint Online
- Configure and manage Teams policies, settings, and user permissions
- Troubleshoot Teams-related issues including meetings, chat, and collaboration features
- Support governance and compliance configurations (e.g., retention policies, guest access, Conditional access policies)
- Configure and manage Power Platform policies and settings
- Design, deploy and manage automation solutions within Microsoft 365
- Administer mailboxes, distribution groups, and email policies
- Configure anti-spam, anti-malware, and data loss prevention (DLP) settings
- Manage mail flow, hybrid configurations, and Exchange connectors
- Perform mailbox migrations and ensure email continuity
- Monitor Exchange Online health and resolve service-related issues
- Work closely with other Technology teams to ensure best practice configurations are applied in security and service resilience
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft 365 experience
- PowerShell
- ShareGate
- Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
- ITIL Foundation Certificate
- Qualifications in Cloud Solutions: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, 365 Fundamentals, 365 Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
- Good negotiation and presentation skills

- Role salary is £37,414 with an additional policy allowance of £11,033 per annum (rising to £39,383 with an additional policy allowance of £11,614 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
