SAP Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP MM Consultant with strong expertise in SAP WM. This role is primarily focused on SAP Materials Management (MM), covering end-to-end Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) processes, Inventory Management, vendor management, and procurement optimization. The ideal candidate will also bring solid working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management (WM) to support warehouse processes, stock handling, storage control, and integration with MM. This role plays a key part in S/4HANA transformation initiatives.

Core Responsibilities - SAP MM (Primary Focus)

SAP MM Functional Expertise

• Lead end-to-end SAP MM solution design, configuration, and optimization.
• Support procurement processes: Purchase Requisition, Purchase Orders, Source List, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements.
• Manage Inventory Management functions such as goods movements, stock transfers, reservations, and physical inventory.
• Maintain Material Master data structures and valuation types.
• Configure pricing procedures, vendor evaluation, account determination, and release strategies.

• Procurement Digitalization & Process Optimization

• Optimize P2P processes through automation, harmonization, and best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, finance, and logistics teams to streamline workflows.
• Support vendor management, e-procurement, and purchasing compliance processes.

• S/4HANA Transformation (MM Focus)

• Participate in S/4HANA conversion and greenfield implementation projects.
• Configure S/4HANA MM elements: Business Partner, Fiori apps, Advanced MRP, material valuation, and new data structures.

• Integration & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Ensure seamless MM integration with FI, WM, SD, PP, and logistics execution.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust SAP MM solutions.

• MM Application Support & ITSM

• Provide Level 2/3 support for MM-related incidents and change requests.
• Analyze root causes and ensure long-term process stability.
• Prepare functional specifications for enhancements and custom developments. - Supporting Responsibilities - SAP WM (Secondary Expertise)

• SAP WM Configuration & Support

• Configure SAP WM components: storage types, bins, stock placements, removals, movement types.
• Support inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse operations.
• Ensure integration with Inventory Management (IM) and P2P processes.

• Warehouse Operations Optimization

• Improve warehouse layouts, workflows, and picking/put-away strategies.
• Contribute to WM enhancements supporting efficient logistics execution.

• Testing & Documentation

• Execute WM test scenarios during integration and regression testing.
• Document WM functional specifications and provide operational training.
• Data Migration & Master Data

• Lead Material Master and Vendor Master data cleansing and migration activities.
• Support migration tools such as LSMW, LTMC, and LTMOM.
• Ensure accuracy and governance of MM and WM master data structures., This position places SAP MM at the center of procurement and supply chain transformation. Your expertise will directly improve purchasing efficiency, cost control, inventory accuracy, and global warehouse support. With added WM knowledge, you will help create seamless material flows across procurement and logistics operations.

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience (must have).
• Solid working experience in SAP WM (strong advantage, but secondary).
• Experience in S/4HANA MM, procurement optimization, and transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of P2P, Inventory Management, Material Master, and purchasing processes.
• Good knowledge of WM structures, warehouse processes, and logistics integration.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Informatics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
