Job description

We are looking for a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to support the full lifecycle of ground segment development-from concept design to operations and maintenance. You will work across all ground infrastructure and software essential for safe mission execution, acting as a key link between Mission & Systems teams and Operations. This role provides broad technical exposure and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to mission operations within our control centre., * Contribute to or lead development of ground systems (Mission Control, Mission Planning, Ground Station Interfaces).

Define requirements for the overall ground segment and its components.
Coordinate with external suppliers as Product Owner or Technical Officer.
Collaborate closely with internal development and Mission/Systems teams across locations.
Apply Agile (SCRUM) methods to ensure timely delivery of requirements.
Produce and maintain documentation (requirements, V&V plans, test procedures/reports).
Execute verification and validation activities, including system tests and simulations.
Support and train Mission Operations teams on ground systems.
Maintain ground systems and act as the liaison between operations and developers.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or relevant engineering field.
Strong commercial experience in ground systems engineering.
Good understanding of ground segment architecture and interactions.
Knowledge of space mission development processes and milestones.
Experience in Requirements Engineering.
Fluency in English.
Experience of the following highly desirable

SCOS-2000 or similar Mission Control Systems.

Automation and Mission Planning Systems.

Ground Station/Antenna communications.

Familiarity with SCRUM as developer or Product Owner.

Programming in C++ and/or Java.

Basic Linux administration, scripting, and development
