Job description
As a Systems Configuration and Automation Officer, you will support the development, enhancement and optimisation of UCL's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Service Management (ESM) systems. Working closely with the Systems Configuration and Automation Manager, you will help define system requirements, coordinate testing, deliver system improvements, and support major organisational changes within the ERP environment.
A key aspect of the role involves engaging with system users and stakeholders to understand needs, identify improvements, and provide high-quality training and documentation. You will create training materials, deliver sessions, manage testing phases, and help ensure system processes, procedures and policies are aligned across the organisation.
You will also play a crucial role in championing automation and AI solutions, helping to streamline processes, reduce risk and enhance customer experience. The role contributes to UCL's strategic drive toward more efficient, modern, and scalable professional services.
Requirements
Do you have experience in ERP systems?, You will bring strong knowledge and experience of ERP and ESM systems, with the ability to understand system requirements, undertake end-to-end testing, and identify opportunities for improvement. You are confident in analysing root causes, assessing impacts and articulating sustainable solutions.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working collaboratively across departments and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You have experience delivering training, conducting training needs analyses and producing high-quality documentation in various formats.
Organised and methodical, you can prioritise effectively, balance competing demands, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy. You are proactive, flexible and committed to continuous improvement, aligned with UCL's Ways of Working. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable but not essential.
