C# ASP.NET/MVC Developer Salary: Up to £60,000 Location: Remote-first (one day per week in Hampshire office)
A leading software company is seeking a C# ASP.NET/MVC Developer to join their team in the insurance claims and risk management sector. This role offers the opportunity to build enterprise-level applications trusted by major organisations, with products recognised as market leaders.
As part of the development team, you will be key in designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications. You will collaborate with skilled developers, testers, and product specialists to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Most work will be remote, with one office day for planning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC
- Implement and optimize data access layers with Entity Framework and SQL
- Build responsive interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, and Infragistics controls
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance tuning
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Collaborate via Microsoft Teams and contribute to technical documentation
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in C#, ASP.NET, MVC
- Solid understanding of Entity Framework and relational databases
- Front-end skills with JavaScript/jQuery
- Familiarity with Visual Studio and version control tools (Perforce)
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- Experience in insurance or risk management software
- Knowledge of REST APIs, Agile methodologies, and Infragistics UI components
